At times, people have tendencies to get caved in, living in their own “comfort zone” that they forget that there is SO MUCH out there. More to love, learn, live, breathe and see. I believe some of us go through it. Life takes over and we tend to forget to take care of ourselves. Are you guilty of being in that “comfort zone”?
Personally, when I was going through the “C” rollercoaster, I remember feeling like my room was my comfort zone but now that I look back, it was just a hiding place. A place to heal until I got better. My mom did an excellent job of making me feel comfortable for the sake of my side effects but my point is that it didn’t help that I was in my room most of the time. All I remember doing was lying down for hours feeling miserable and luckily blogging was my way of connecting outside of that comfort zone. Although it was difficult for me to express the most personal things going in my life, it made me happy to just write. Also, I didn’t get out enough as I should have. So, if you are going through an illness or a difficult time in your life, please TRY and make every effort to go outside or try something new or re-visit something you’ve always wanted to do and you might be pleasantly surprised on how liberating it will make you feel.
This blog might not make any sense to you but it does to me so I praise you if you get what I’m trying to say.
Today, I dare YOU to do something outside of your comfort zone. Try something different for once-try not to be lazy and seize the day. It seems so easy to fall in the trap of doing the same day to day routine. I hate routines really but sometimes it just happens. We fall into our own little comfort zone whether it be work, relationships, working out,..whatever it is. Try something new or change your old comfortable ways.
